Dr. Sanchez was one of the instructors of a training workshop of using the North American Disease Spread Model in South America. Members of several countries from South America met at Panaftasa in Rio de Janiero from March 30 to April 4 to take part of the international event. This 3-year project, led by Drs. Dorothy Geale and Caroline Dubé from CFIA, is oriented to enhance the FMD preparedness and Response in South America and has been awarded $650K from the Department of Foreigns Affairs and International Trade.
