CVER would like to congratulate the following members on their recent achievements:

• Dr. John VanLeeuwen on his promotion to Full Professor
• Dr. Jeffrey Davidson on his promotion to Full Professor
• Dr. Carolyn Sanford- appointment as the Provincial Epidemiolgist in the PEI Department of Health
• Dr. Linda Van Til- appointment as research epidemiologist with the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Dr. Janet Bryanton- completion of her PhD in May 2007, thesis title: "Perception of the birth Experience and its Relationship to Early Postpartum Parenting." Janet also received a National award in February 2008 from the Canadian Nurses Association by the Prime Minister for her contribution to maternal and child health promotion reserach and education.
• Dr. Abou Mounchili- joint appointment in the CFIA Animal Health Risk Analysis Unit and the Dept. of Health Management (helping with epidemiology teaching).
