J T. McClure earns contract with Public Health Agency of Canada

J T. McClure's lab has a 2-year contract with the Public Health Agency of Canada to perform the retail meat portion of the Canadian Integrated Program for Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance (CIPARS) for Atlantic Canada. His lab is also doing a pilot study for the PEI's Departments of Health and Agriculture looking at antimicrobial resistance and prevalence of targeted foodborne pathogens in PEI provincial slaughterhouses. Both projects are testing samples from beef, pork and poultry. The PEI Food Technology Centre is collaborating on both projects.
