MQM Provided Lab Test Data Graphical Analysis Service to Maritime Dairy Industry

MQM is proud to announce that it has signed agreements with the NB, NS and PEI dairy industries to provide an online graphing service for the presentation of quality and component data to dairy producers. The Graphical Analysis Program (GAP) presents the data generated through regulatory and component testing in both tabular and graphical formats. GAP is up and running in NS and PEI now and will be online in NB in January 2009.

More than just a data display system, GAP provides producers with test interpretation, including information on where to start focusing management activities to address milk quality and component issues on the farm.

One of the most powerful features of GAP is that it allows producers to set target ranges for their test results. If one the test results falls outside a preset target range, the producer will receive an automatic email notification from GAP. This notification system allows producers to know immediately if there may be a problem within their herd.

The graphical presentation of the data has recently been upgraded to version 2.0. In addition to upgraded graphics that allow producers to monitor data trends over time, the latest version of GAP includes advisor access capabilities. This allows producers to grant and revoke data access to advisors such as veterinarians, udder health specialists, nutritionists and milking equipment suppliers.

The services of GAP are FREE for Maritime herds. Signup details vary slightly between provinces. For access details for your location contact your milk board or go to www.milkquality.ca.
