Congratulations to Drs Javier Sanchez (photo left), Crawford Revie (photo right), and Jette Christensen (photo 2nd from left) on receipt of funding ($225,000 over 3 years) from the Canadian Swine Health Board (CSHB) to fund research into the modeling of PRRS transmission in Canadian swine populations. The funding will used to support a post doctoral student who will use the NAADSM (North American Animal Disease Spread Model) framework along with animal movement data to develop realistic disease spread models. Also shown in the photo is Dr. Dan Hurnik (2nd from right) who serves as Chair of the CSHB Long Term Disease Risk Management Advisory Committee and as a representative of CAVEPM on the CSHB Research Advisory Committee.
Congratulations to all.
