Dr. Erin E. Rees is a Research Scientist in the Department of Health Management at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Her research focuses on the role of spatial heterogeneities affecting the incidence and spread of infectious diseases, largely in wildlife. Dr. Rees uses agent-based computer simulation modelling to investigate spatial factors affecting pathogen-host dynamics (e.g., sea lice-salmon, rabies-mesocarnivores). She works closely with provincial and federal health agencies and industrial partners to help devise effective and cost-efficient disease management strategies.
