Thesis Title:  The use of disease modelling to address issues of acquatic animal health.

CVER and the AVC Shellfish Research Group would like to welcome Dr. Thitiwan Patanasatienkul (Dr. Poo) as a PhD candidate in the Department of Health Management.

Dr. Thitiwan arrived at AVC from Thailand in early September 2009 after completing her DVM (2007) and MSc in epidemiology (2009) from Kasetsart University.  This is her second time on PEI, the first being in 2006 when she was registered in the 4th year course ‘Production, Health and Diagnostic Management of Salmonid and Mollusc Aquaculture’.

Dr. Thitiwan was awarded an AVC DVM Graduate Student Award to pursue her research on modeling aquatic animal health issues under the supervision of Drs. Crawford Revie and Jeff Davidson.
